Thanks for visiting Snip and Sew today! In this post, you'll find the tutorial and the free pattern to make a V-Neck Top for women. The pattern is divided into three files ( Small: Sizes 2, 4, 6/ Medium: Sizes 8, 10, 12/ Large: 14/16 )

If this is your first time visiting my website, don't forget to check the Recent Blog Posts 👉on the sidebar to get more free patterns and tutorials 😉

Free pattern - V-Neck Top

For this tutorial, you'll need an old shirt. I bought this one at the thrift store and it cost me about $2.50. This is a size 6 and the shirt was an XL. Probably, you'll need more than one shirt if you want to make a bigger size.

The straps are made with the seams of the shirt. They look great and it's very easy to make them. The only thing that you need to be aware of is that they will fray a little bit. If you don't like it, you can always cut a piece of fabric and make them.

The pattern contains FRONT and BACK pieces (x2) and Front and Back Facings (cut on fold).

* STRAPS LENGTH

SIZE 4-6: 8.75" (x4)
SIZE 8-10: 9.125" (x4)
SIZE 12-14: 9.5" (x4)
SIZE 16-18: 9.875" (x4)

* This is an indicative measure. Before cut them, try the top on and choose your desired length.

Hi Stefani!
You should sew the darts of the inner and the outer fabric before sewing the side seams. I hope that helps :)

Its seems the step on darting the front part for the breasts is missed in the video. At what part would you add those in?
